DSV powers up Swedish operation
[ December 16, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]DSV has put over 100,000sq m of solar panels on the roof of its new warehouse at Landskrona, Sweden, generating 14MWp of energy – enough to power the facilities, charge electrical vehicles and supply electricity back to the local grid. The total annual energy production could power 1,400 homes each year.
Together with the newly opened 345,000 square metre logistics facilities in Horsens – by far the largest in Europe and in DSV’s network – the new facilities and renewable energy assets in Landskrona will serve as a pilot project for future logistics infrastructure.
The assets will be managed by DSV Energy, a part of DSV’s sustainability division developed specifically to handle the Danish-owned logistics company’s renewable energy programme.
