DSV to pioneer self-driving trucks

Danish forwarding and logistics company DSV has partnered with truck maker IVECO, technology firm Plus and retailer Dm-drogerie to launch of an automated trucking pilot in Germany in the first half of 2024.

An IVECO heavy duty truck fitted with Plus’s AI-based, driver-supervised automated driving software will operate on a DSV route to transport Dm-drogerie markt products in Germany’s Baden-Württemberg-Hessen region.

The partners say that the pilot on “a bustling commercial freight route” will be a key enabler for the large-scale deployment of automated trucks in the coming years.
