Dubai ports signs Romania ro ro deal
[ June 24, 2022 // Chris ]The Romanian government has signed an agreement with Dubai’s Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) and DP World to develop a ro ro terminal at the Port of Constanta. PCFC will work with DP World to modernise and develop the infrastructure on Pier II-S at the Port. DP World will also install an X-ray scanner to reduce the amount of time needed for physical inspections.
DP World already operates the Constanta South Container Terminal and is pushing ahead with a new road-rail intermodal terminal in Aiud in Romania, which is expected to operational in the first half of 2023 and will be linked by rail to Constanta, giving Transylvania an outlet to the sea.
