Egypt prepares for TIR
[ July 6, 2012 // Chris ]Public and private stakeholders met on 5 July to discuss plans to speed up Egypt’s entry to the TIR Convention “in the very near future”, reported the International Road Transport Union (IRU). All parties agree that it is essential for Egypt to join as soon as possible. The major UN trade and road transport facilitation and security instruments, such as the Harmonization and TIR Conventions are in agreement, especially in view of the recent launch of regular ro ro services from Turkey to Egyptian Ports.
