Emirates flies first vaccine to UAE

Emirates SkyCargo flew the first Pfizer-BioNTech Covid to the UAE for the Dubai Health Authority, free of charge on a service from Brussels on 22 December. On arrival the containers were unloaded and taken to the Emirates SkyPharma facility to await clearance for delivery. The carrier has set up the world’s largest dedicated airside storage and distribution hub for Covid-19 vaccines in Dubai with the capacity to store up to an estimated 10 million doses at the 2-8C temperature range at any time.
