Europa welcomes Thames crossing commitment

Europa Worldwide Group has welcomed the government’s announcement that it will work with the private sector to deliver funding for the Lower Thames Crossing, announced as part of Chancellor Rachel Reeve’s speech outlining plans to grow the British economy.

Europa recently joined a campaign to back the crossing, first proposed in the early 2000s.

Europa’s 1Hub’ groupage hub lies next to the Dartford Crossing, where chief executive Andrew Baxter estimates that up to £200 million is lost every year in productivity due to congestion.

Europa operates over 200 truck movements every day in and out of Dartford.
