Eurotunnel signs French customs deal
[ March 4, 2019 // Chris ]Eurotunnel has signed a partnership agreement with TLF Overseas to give registered customs agents a contact point at its Calais terminal.
It will act as an interface between truck drivers, French customs, sanitary and phyto-sanitary services and RDE representatives.
However, Eurotunnel adds that hauliers will need to have completed their import and export declarations in advance.
Eurotunnel has already put in place infrastructure that to host French state services including customs, sanitary and phyto-sanitary inspectors to handle the 1.7 million trucks and 22 million tonnes of freight every year.
