Fastest POSSible from Spain
[ March 28, 2017 // Chris ]CMA CGM short-sea subsidiary OPDR says its new POSS service between the inland port of Seville and Tilbury, via Setubal in Portugal is the fastest link Southern Spain and the UK. Taking just four days, the service to Seville also provides connections by rail and truck to Madrid and the rest of Spain.
The new service follows the setting up of a joint company between OPDR and maritime services company Boluda in the Port of Seville.
Together with the established SECI service, which connects the Canary Islands with the Spanish mainland, OPDR now offers five Seville calls per week.
Three ships are deployed in the new POSS service and will mainly carry refrigerated goods. All vessels carry pallet-wide equipment.
