FedEx ahead of the field

FedEx Express is the busiest cargo airline in the world according to the latest IATA World Air Transport Statistics Report. The carrier transported over 7.1 million tonnes of airfreight in 2014, well ahead of its nearest rival UPS’s 4.2m tonnes. FedEx also led the field on a tonne-kilometres basis, with 16 billion tonne-km, compared with Emirates’ 11.2bn tonne-km.
