Firms stockpile ahead of Brexit
[ October 20, 2020 // Chris ]Brexit is already impacting the freight market with many companies stockpiling goods in the UK in preparation for delays at the border in early January 2021, reports forwarder Woodland in its latest bulletin. Demand is expected to continue to increase prior to the end of the transition period on 31 December. Businesses are being urged to get Brexit ready and consider their terms of sale and supply chain and Woodland recommends that they check carefully responsibilities with customs under the Incoterms used to sell or purchase of goods to/from the EU.
Woodland is already at advanced stage of preparations for handling trade to and from the EU from January 2021 and can act as a customs intermediary if required.
