First Swan for Southampton

DP World Southampton handled the first vessel on MSC’s new AE2/Swan service on 21 October, with one of the fastest transit times from Asia to the UK. The new route has a 24 day transit time from Yantian (South China) to Southampton and 19 days from Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia. Operated by the 2M Alliance (Maersk Line and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company), twelve vessels will be deployed on the service .Over the next two months DP World Southampton will also welcome Maersk line’s Triple E vessels which, at 19,224teu the largest container vessels in the world today.
