Franco-Dutch airline gets ready for the vaccine rush
[ September 22, 2020 // Chris ]Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP Cargo) is building a new climate-cool room, with temperatures ranging from +2°C to +8°C, at its Schiphol Pharma Hub, in preparation for the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines.
It will give the carrier an extra 2,061 cu m storage space, 152 additional skid positions and dangerous goods and dry ice capability compatible service
Global head of pharmaceutical logistics, Enrica Calonghi (pictured), said that AFKLMP Cargo had already invested in 1,118cu m of additional controlled-climate room (CRT) at Schiphol using the same hybrid technology, adding: “With the construction of this brand-new climate-cool room we will be as flexible as possible to handle more vaccines if necessary.”
