Frankfurt says ‘hello’ to new freighter
[ November 27, 2013 // Chris ]A week after the maiden comemrcial flight of Lufthansa Cargo’s first Boeing 777F, a second new Triple Seven arrived in Frankfurt on 27 November. The new aircraft has been christened Jambo Kenya (Hello Kenya) in recognition of the importance of Africa as one of the most important air freight growth markets. Lufthansa Cargo currently flies to four destinations on that continent.
The name resulted from a public competition and was chosen from more than 40,000 entries. All freighters in the Lufthansa Cargo fleet – Boeing 777Fs and MD-11Fs – will henceforth be christened with greetings in more than 20 languages.
