French logistics start-up has UK in its sights
[ March 18, 2021 // Chris ]French Logistics and fulfilment start-up Cubyn has raised €35 million from the Eurazeo and BPI Large Venture growth funds as a prelude to expanding its operations internationally, including the UK.
It will launch a 25,000sq m warehouse outside Paris and deploy its service internationally, starting with Spain and Portugal from April 2021. This will be followed by Italy, UK and Germany.
Cubyn says it has built proprietary technology to streamline merchant logistics, including web apps and advanced optimisation through algorithm and warehouse robotics.
Co-founder and executive Adrien Fernandez-Baca says Cubyn will be able to offer a better, faster and cross-border service at a 30% lower price.
Cubyn merchants can integrate their e-commerce inventory and start scaling their sales without worrying about logistics, while monitoring the process from one simple software as a service solution.
Since inception, Cubyn has processed over 5 million shipments from its warehouse in Paris.
Antoine Izsak at Bpifrance Large Venture fund added: “Covid has accelerated the need for merchants to have a reliable, scalable and tech fulfilment solution. We’re excited to work with Cubyn to scale their business across Europe in the next few months, unlocking access to their cutting edge fulfilment tech for more merchants.”
