From Norwich with love
[ September 14, 2021 // Chris ]DHL has moved eight original film vehicles from Norfolk across the Atlantic to Los Angeles for an exhibition at the Petersen Automotive Museum.
The logistics company is no stranger to James Bond, having provided transport solutions for the films since Casino Royale in 2006, but there were some challenges. Two cars – including the famous Aston Martin used for the spectacular rollover stunt in Casino Royale – could only be moved using tailor-made skids.
In total, DHL’s automotive logistics experts were responsible for the safe transport of five Aston Martins, two BMWs and one Lotus Esprit S1, known to fans as Wet Nellie from The Spy Who Loved Me. DHL also transported Bond’s iconic silver-grey Aston Martin DB5, as well as the Aston Martin DBS.
