Geodis gets closer to its customers
[ May 24, 2018 // Chris ]Freight forwarder the Geodis Group has restructured itself to make it easier for its customers to access its services. Alongside its existing lines of business, it has set up four new regions responsible for the full service offer, in Western Europe, Middle East & Africa, Northern & Continental Europe, Americas and Asia Pacific. It has also enhanced its Business Development & Marketing central department which will be tasked with designing and build end-to-end logistics solutions and its Innovation & Business Excellence central department to embed innovative ideas in its business processes.
The board will continue to be led by chief executive Marie-Christine Lombard with Laurent Parat in charge of the Western Europe, Middle East and Africa region and Thomas Kraus heading up Northern and Central Europe.
The lines of business will remain, namely Contract Logistics, Distribution & Express, Freight Forwarding, Road Transport and Supply Chain Optimization.
Marie-Christine Lombard said “We believe that this new organization will make it easier for our customers to access our services through a stronger local presence. It will also offer more opportunities to develop end-to-end logistics solutions to optimize our clients’ supply chains.”
