Geodis to buy Texas broker

Geodis is to acquire substantially all of the assets of Texas-based broker Velocity Freight Transport, from McLane Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. Velocity provides refrigerated and temperature-controlled freight, flatbed and less-than-load (LTL) trucking, intermodal, van, and specialist options.
