Grimaldi orders ammonnia-ready car carriers

The Grimaldi Group has signed an order for five new ammonia-ready 9,000CEU Pure Car Truck Carriers with China Merchants Heavy Industries Jiangsu with an option for five more. Total investment is about €1 billion. The vessels will also be equipped with mega lithium batteries, as well as solar panels and shore connection, which will allow them to achieve zero emissions in port. They are expected to be delivered in 2025-26 and will be deployed between Europe, North Africa, and the Near and Far East.
