Hammond welcomes improved Dover relations

Transport Secretary, Stephen Hammond said he welcomed the Port of Dover’s improving relationships with its main users as he met for the harbour Board;s annual consultative meeting on 20 May. He added: “Building on this, maintaining success in the future will require all interested parties to work together, focusing on the key deliverables and getting things done for the benefit of port users and the local community.”

He said he would shortly appoint new non-executive directors to the Board to help take the port forward.
