Hapag adopts Hazcheck

Hapag-Lloyd is to adopt New York based cargo inspection company NCB Group’s Hazcheck Detect cargo screening tool to tackle misdeclared and undeclared dangerous good s.The solution will be delivered by NCB’s software division, Exis Technologies.

Hazcheck Detect scans all cargo booking details for keywords and includes an industry library to identify potential misdeclared or undeclared dangerous goods and other compliance cargo in seconds.

Hapag-Lloyd has been a customer of NCB and of Exis Technologies’ Hazcheck Systems for many years, using the Hazcheck IMDG Code validation tools for declared dangerous goods cargo in its booking processes.

The technology is already being used by Maersk and the ONE consortium.
