Hapag-Lloyd invests in reefer boxes

Hapag-Lloyd has ordered 6,000 (12,000 TEU) latest generation reefer containers to help it It follows an order in April for five new 10,500 teu ships slots for up to 2,100 reefers. Around 1,000 of the new containers will be fitted with controlled-atmosphere technology to prolong the life of fruits and vegetables.
