Hellmann’s Marriott to pilot airfreight

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics UK commercial director, Matthew Marriott is to head up the forwarder’s airfreight operations. He was previously in charge of road freight and contract logistics.He will divide his time between the head office in Lichfield and the air and sea freight hub in Colnbrook.

He said: “Stepping into the air freight side of the business is a change of direction for me and one that I’m embracing with open arms. The successes we have enjoyed on both the road freight and contract logistics sides of the business over the last few years have allowed me to believe that, with the right structure, strategy and processes in place, we have every chance of transforming the air freight product and drawing some attention to it in the UK.”
