Europa Worldwide Logistics has become one of the first tenants in the Rushcliffe Technology and Enterprise Centre in Nottingham, overlooking Trent Bridge Cricket ground, Nottingham Forest Football Club as well as Trent Bridge, the gateway to Nottingham and the city beyond.

The new office will cover collection and distribution requirements across the East Midlands, connecting to the northern hub in Birmingham. It will be headed bybranch manager Sam Boot, who has ten years’ experience at a number of leading national logistics providers, supported by two recently appointed senior account managers and a specialist operator.

Europa is looking to recruit a further three members of staff in the next 12 months.

Recent figures from RBS’s regional growth tracker showed the East Midlands’ economy has expanded faster than any other region.

Managing director Andrew Baxter, commented; “As a national operator is it vital that we have a sales and distribution presence in all of the key areas of the country and particularly those showing growth. The East Midlands is an area I know very well and I am clear that there is a demand for our service here as the country and this region move out of difficult economic times. Nottingham is the heart of this region which is why it is the perfect location to expand our offer.”
