HMRC revises Dover truck plans
[ August 20, 2021 // Chris ]HMRC has revised its plans for a lorry park at Dover, according to a report in The Guardian newspaper. New plans are for the White Cliffs site are for a park with space for up to 96 trucks, rather than 1,200 in the original plan.
Lighting levels have bee reduced and the area would be shielded to reduce noise disturbance to local residents.
White Cliffs would handle only vehicles awaiting customs checks; SPS checks would be handled at another as yet undisclosed site in the Whitfield area of Dover, said the report. There will also be a separate area for live animal examinations.
