Irish exporters offer AEO course
[ May 24, 2018 // Chris ]The Irish Exporters Association (IEA) has launched the first AEO training programme in Ireland for international traders. Delivered through a series of one-day workshops, attendees will learn how to perform AEO self-assessment, gap analysis and risk assessment, providing businesses with the tools they need to independently develop, apply for and maintain AEO status. IEA chief executive Simon McKeever said that firms with AEO status would be able to clear imports and exports through customs with the minimum of formality.
Currently, there are146 live AEO operators registered in Ireland but the figure is predicted to increase exponentially over the coming years given Brexit and stipulations in the Union Customs Code.
