Irish forwarders to join Clecat

The Irish International Freight Association (IIFA) is to joined the Clecat pan-European forwarders’ group, president Tom Thornton told a meeting in Dublin on 21 February. It would give the industry a voice in the EU following the UK’s decision last June to exit the Union, he told delegates to a ‘Brexit’ seminar organised by IIFA. He said that joining Clecat would give the industry a voice and highlight the specific needs of Ireland in the wake of the EU’s departure from the Union.
