IRU holds Iran talks

An Iranian delegation, headed by deputy transport minister Dr Davood Keshavarzian, met International Road Transport Union (IRU) secretary general Umberto de Pretto, in Geneva on 8 February to discuss new opportunities for trade and transport in the region. Talks included the lifting of sanctions, the recent successful implementation of an eTIR pilot between Iran and Turkey, action to develop trade and transport corridors through Iran and promoting training and capacity building.
