Island in the stream
[ July 27, 2018 // Chris ]Forth ports has continued its tradition of naming its tugs after islands in the estuary when it christened its new Sanmar-built, 28-metre long vessel Craigleith. The ceremony was performed on 27 July by Janice Hammond, wife of Forth Ports chief executive Charles Hammond.
The company also named its new pilot boat, designed in Scotland by Carmac Design and built in Wales by Holyhead Marine, Forth Puma.
The vessel was named by Marion Long, who has worked for Forth Ports for over 40 years in the group’s Edinburgh head office, supporting the chief financial officer.
