Jamaica launches first phase of community system

Network provider SOGET and Port Authority of Jamaica (PAJ) have launched the pilot phase of S)ONE port community system (PCS), for transshipment. SOGET said the move would dramatically improve the fluidity and security in day-to-day operations.

As a major transshipment hub in the Caribbean, Jamaica needed a PCS to maintain its competitive position following the recent expansion of the Panama Canal.

S)ONE is now the single point of contact to manage transshipment logistics operation and documentation thanks to its integration in the Jamaican logistics community ecosystem.
