Kale automates Kansai clearances

Kale Logistics Solutions has automated the customs clearance operations of CKTS Company Limited, a ground handler at Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan.

The first stage of deploying its Galaxy cargo management system covers the shipment triggering and document acceptance process, processes that previously relied on manual data entry.

The system is being deployed in phases to optimise integration of existing systems and processes so as not to disrupt cargo operations.

The second phase includes introduction of handheld terminals for key warehouse functions, including the recording and live reporting of shipment arrivals to customs.
