Kingscote Rojay buys Republic Cargo Systems

[ April 7, 2025   //   ]

UK forwarder Kingscote Rojay (KRL) has acquired Solihull-based Republic Cargo Systems UK. RCS UK, previously part of the US-based RCS Group, offers air and ocean freight and complements KRL’s existing operations in the region.

KRL director, Peter Phythian, said: “RCS UK has built a strong reputation in air and ocean freight, and this acquisition presents an incredible opportunity to enhance our reach into key markets, including Europe, North America, and Asia. By bringing RCS UK into the KRL group, we can offer a more seamless, efficient service to our clients while expanding our presence in crucial trade corridors.”

Phythian will also assume the role of managing director at RCS UK. While RCS UK will continue to trade under its existing brand for the time being, it will now function as part of the wider KRL group.

Phythian added: “We are delighted to have RCS UK join the KRL family. We look forward to working closely with our new colleagues, harnessing our combined strengths, and exploring new opportunities as we continue to grow and innovate together.”

Founded in 1993, KRL operates across the UK and Ireland. Its road fleet includes Euro 6 compliant vehicles  and it is a member of the Palletways network.
