Knowles opens bonded warehouses
[ December 5, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Knowles Logistics has opened two bonded warehouse facilities at its sites in Wimblington and Wisbech in the east of England. The sites are accredited to BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standard, formely British Retail Consortium) standard. The third party logistics specialist says that businesses offers importers and exporters a secure environment for the storage of goods under customs control, without the immediate need to pay import duties and taxes. The fact that duties are not paid until goods leave the warehouse means that companies can hold inventory for an unlimited period of time enabling them to manage fluctuating demand and costs more effectively.
