Leman moves to new HQ
[ October 9, 2018 // Chris ]Danish-owned forwarding and distribution specialist Leman has moved its UK headquarters to a refurbished 108,500sq ft warehouse in Normanton, near Leeds managed by third party warehousing firm Onward Holdings, which specializes in competitively priced industrial warehousing in the north of England.
Leman said the new site offered 10,000sqft of high-quality office space and excellent links to the region’s motorway network. The unit offers plenty of loading space with 12 covered dock bays and there is a large parcel of land adjacent to the building for future expansion.
Leman UK managing director, Jesper Thygesen, said: “We chose Normanton mainly for its ideal size and configuration as well as its strategic distribution location. We were merging two depots so being able to bring all our staff under the one roof was brilliant. The location close to Junction 31 of the M62 was another attraction. We send all of our trailers out of Hull and Immingham, so it’s great to be have easy access to those ports.”
He added: “We have had really good service from Onward Holdings. From agreeing the deal, they managed to turn around the site in just 60 days which enabled us to move in with the minimum disruption to our operations.”
