[ December 12, 2016 // Chris ]Supermarket chain Lidl is due to open a 187,000sq ft distribution hub at London Gateway from February next year. Lidl will occupy the warehouse areas of the Logistics Centre, which became vacant earlier this year.
Lidl head of warehouse expansion Adrienne Howells, said the site would support new and existing stores throughout the country.
Oliver Treneman, DP World’s property development director, added: “Our team of experts are able to assist with solutions and with one of Europe’s largest land-banks for distribution warehousing, on the same estate as the UK’s most advanced deep-sea container port, the advantages to cargo owners in utilising this facility are compelling.”
