Logistics UK team are overnight sensation
[ July 28, 2022 // Chris Lewis ]A five-man Logistics UK team completed a mammoth overnight cross-country bike ride from the Leamington Spa office to the organisation’s head office in Tunbridge Wells on 28 July, raising £2,600for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The group rode into the sunset and taking in illuminated London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace and Tower Bridge, before riding on to a well-earned rest at the Kent headquarters.
The ride was organised by Ian Wright, and other team members included Craig Foulkes, Mark Jones, Martin Candish and Ian Dunn, while Jerry Kane and Antony co-ordinated support vehicles.
To support the riders, staff at the Tunbridge Wells office hosted a Macmillan Coffee morning and virtual bike ride – using two spin bikes kindly provided by Tunbridge Wells Sports Centre – to match the miles that the cycle team undertook and raised £150.00 for the charity.
The quintet completed the 130-mile ride in a very creditable ten hours. We do hope they stopped at all the red traffic lights.
