London Gateway welcomes a record-breaker
[ January 4, 2016 // Chris ]DP World London Gateway Port welcomed one of the world’s largest container ships on 2 January when UASC’s Al Muraykh diverted from Felixstowe to the new port. The vessel, which was en route from Malaysia, has a nominal capacity of 18,800teu, was actually carrying 18,601teu – a world record.
London Gateway does not currently handle any direct Asia to Europe services. That however could change when the port opens its third berth in summer.
