Macquarie buys Netherlands sites

Macquarie Asset Management has acquired two facilities in the Netherlands on behalf of the Macquarie European Logistics Real Estate Fund.

It has agreed to acquire the facilities at Rotterdam Logistics Park (RLP) in Hellevoetsluis from Delta development and ELREP Asset Management LLP, and in Lelystad from MG Real Estate.

Located near the port, the RLP facility will have 47,000sq m of flexible floor space following its expected completion in late 2023. The newly constructed 67,000sq m Lelystad property is close to the A6 highway and the CTU Flevokust barge terminal.

The Grade A properties are targeting “Very Good” ratings under the BREEAM sustainable building certification scheme upon completion.
