Maersk buys Dutch parcels firm

AP Moller-Maersk has acquired-Netherlands-based parcel delivery firm B2C Europe for US$86m. The 20-year-old logistics company operates business to consumer (B2C) parcel delivery services in Europe with a focus on cross-border deliveries. It will enable Maersk to offer Europe-wide last mile rates to customers in Europe, North America and China. The company offers labelling services, pick-ups, sorting , linehaul and injection into the last mile delivery network of over 100 connected carriers across Europe, including full returns logistics mainly in 35 European countries. As well as the Netherlands, it has operations in the UK, France and Spain and has offices in China.
