Maersk adds sulphur surcharge
[ September 18, 2018 // Chris ]Maersk Line is to introduce a new bunker adjustment factor (BAF) surcharge to cover the cost of complying with new sulphur emissions limits which come into force on 1 January 2020. Example BAF tariffs on the Far East to North Europe trade range from $480 to $840 ($/FFE) for standard (dry) containers, depending on prevailing fuel prices.
