Maersk buys Asian logistics operator LF

AP Moller-Maersk (Maersk) has completed acquisition of Hong Kong-based LF Logistics, for US$3. billion. LF Logistics, which will be rebranded as Maersk, operates omnichannel fulfilment services, e-commerce, and inland transport in the Asia-Pacific region. The move will add 223 warehouses to Maersk’s existing portfolio, bringing the total number of facilities to 549 globally, on 9.5 million sq m. LF Logistics employs 10,000 people and specialises in B2B and B2C distribution solutions within retail, wholesale, and e-commerce.
