Maersk plugs French gap
[ December 11, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Maersk has filled what it describes as “a pretty blank spot on the world map for us when it came to warehousing” with a new location in France.
The 75,000sq m warehouse close to Lille is now fully operational serving a global e-commerce customer, just in time for the Christmas peak season.
It is at the junction of the A2 and A21 along the canal on the river . It has received BREEAM Very Good certification, is equipped with 85 doors, has beam height of 11.40 metres, floor load of 5 t/m² and a truck yard of 35 m.
A new 70,000sq m location in Bremerhaven will also open shortly, bringing Maersk’s network in Europe to 15 locations.
