Maersk signs Saudi logistics deal
[ November 1, 2021 // Chris ]AP Moller-Maersk group signed a 25-year, US$136m deal with Saudi Ports Authority to set up an Integrated Logistics Park at Jeddah Islamic Port. The bonded and non-bonded warehousing and distribution facility will cover more than 70% of the total area, while the remaining part will act as a hub for transshipment, air freight, and LCL cargo. It will cater for a variety of ambient and cold chain products as well as a dedicated eCommerce fulfilment centre.
Earlier, Maersk sign an agreement with the Port of Salalah in Oman to launch a new end-to-end logistics service to Yemen through the Al-Mazyunah free zone.
