Maersk to reroute all Red Sea vessels
[ January 5, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Maersk says that all vessels due to transit the Red Sea / Gulf of Aden will be diverted south around the Cape of Good Hope for the foreseeable future. It follows its announcement on 2 January that it would pause all vessels bound for the region in light of the recent incident involving Maersk Hangzhou and ongoing developments in the area. Previously announced Transit Disruption Surcharge (TDS), Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) and Emergency Contingency Surcharge (ECS) remain in effect.
