Maersk tweaks Asian routes
[ June 23, 2016 // Chris ]New direct coverage from Qingdao and Xingang into the UK are among the features of a revamped Maersk Line schedule from Asia and North Europe. Maersk will also continue to offer a Southampton and adds a new direct call from Yokohama.
It forms part of an optimisation of the Danish-owned carrier’s optimised Asia-North Europe schedule.
Maersk adds that it has redesigned the network to ensure it is better equipped to deal with contingencies.
Eastbound, there is a new direct servicefrom Felixstowe to Xingang. Maersk also promises improved schedule reliability for exports from the UK, while maintaining fast transit times to primary Far East destinations.
