Volga-Dnepr Airlines and project freight forwarder KOG Transport have moved an 8-metre long, 35-ton rotor to a thermal electric power plant in Accra, Ghana. Volga-Dnepr Airlines designed and manufactured an ultra-light cradle to load the rotor into the cargo hold of one of its Ilyushin IL-76TD-90VD freighters. It also provided a complete package of engineering and logistics services, including delivery of cargo to the airport, terminal handling, security clearance, and the supply of loading/unloading equipment.
