Marathon man to head up Pentalver in Cannock
[ October 2, 2014 // Chris ]Pentalver has appointed Nick Matthews as general manager of its Cannock operation. He was previously managing director of Roadways Container Logistics, heading up the 260 strong team including 200 drivers, as well as the site’s rail, storage and container refurbishment activities.
And on the weekend 27-28 September he headed to Germany to take part in the Berlin Marathon, raising funds for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance – which transported Nick to hospital following a near fatal motorcycle racing accident in June 2013.
It had been feared that he’d never walk again, but he and close friend Adam Woby complete the race in a very impressive four hours and 35 minutes.
