Mass shooting at FedEx US site kills eight

Eight people have been killed and others injured in a mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis at around 23.00 local time.The lone gunman is reported to have killed himself. Authorities said there was no further threat to public safety. In a statement, the express carrier said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the loss of our team members. Our most heartfelt sympathies are with all those affected by this senseless act of violence. The safety of our team members is our top priority, and we are fully cooperating with investigating authorities.”
