Multi-faceted Hexagon celebrates 50 years in business

[ June 16, 2023   //   ]

Hexagon International Transport celebrates 50 years in business in August.

The company was originally incorporated in Manchester in 1973, with a Leeds office opening in 1984, later relocated to Normanton.

Hexagon currently has 25 employees servicing multi-national companies as well as privately owned firms. It specialises in European freight, express, groupage and full load services.

The early part of the company’s existence was dedicated to gaining a strong foothold in the French market. This was rapidly achieved, and development continued, with services to Scandinavia in the 1990s and the rest of Europe in the following years.

Many customers have worked with Hexagon for over 20 years

Brexit was a turbulent time for all international cargo movements. However Hexagon quickly adjusted its operations and implemented customs policies and processes. The company also created new relationships with European customs clearance agents and has seen an increased customer base in addition to quicker transit times via the Smart Border.
