Multimodal chief takes to Shanks’ Pony

[ February 24, 2025   //   ]

In April, Multimodal portfolio director Robert Jervis will set off from show organiser Clarion’s HQ in Fulham and walk the 133 miles to the show site at the Birmingham NEC. His motivation isn’t primarily the eye-watering cost of an Anytime Single on Avanti trains but to raise funds for Multimodal’s charity partner, Transaid.

Moreover, in homage to the pioneer mode of freight transport, inland waterways, he will walk along the Thames to Brentford and from there, along the Grand Union Canal to near Solihull, and from there to the NEC.

Exhibitors or visitors are warmly encouraged to join him for an hour or two. More details will be posted nearer the time at https://www.multimodal.org.uk/

The route will take him past Stockley Park, Cowley, Uxbridge, Rickmansworth, Watford, Kings Langley, Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Weedon, Daventry, Southam, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Solihull.
