Multimodal in line for visitor surge
[ February 19, 2024 // Chris Lewis ]Clarion Events, Organisers of the Multimodal supply chain event say that they have seen a surge in visitor registrations for the show at Birmingham’s NEC on 11-13 June.
Multimodal 2024 already has over 230 exhibitors signed up, including Amazon, CEVA Logistics, DP World, Hapag-Lloyd, Kuehne+Nagel, Maersk, Maritime Transport, Malcolm Logistics and Samskip Services and expects to exceed 300 exhibitors.
Some 50% more exhibitors have signed up compared to the same period last year.
The Multimodal Awards include three new categories in the Judged Awards section. The six Modal awards, nominated and voted for by attendees, exhibitors, visitors, and newsletter readers are: Air Freight Company of the Year; Road Freight Company of the Year; Rail Freight Company of the Year; Sea Freight Company of the Year; Port Company of the Year; and 3PL of the Year.
The seven Judged Awards are: Shipper/Partner; Sustainability; Young Logistics Professional; Technology Company; Best Warehouse Operation; Customs Technology Partner; and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
The nomination window for the awards closes on 29 March and finalists will be announced on 9 April.
Multimodal 2024 is commited to sustainability and Clarion aims to halve emissions by 2030 and achieve Net Zero by 2050. Reflecting this, the event will feature sustainable practices, including collaboration with local Midland’s contractors and suppliers and the use of recyclable signage.
Furthermore, the exhibition and conference sessions are designed to guide cargo owners and shippers towards more sustainable shipping methods, underpinning the industry’s shift towards eco-friendly practices.
